When an address bounces permanently or someone unsubscribes, EasyDigz records it and stops sending there. You do not maintain a list. There is no spreadsheet.
#What suppresses an address
| Event | Result |
|---|---|
| Hard bounce | The address is permanently undeliverable. Suppressed, and counted toward the campaign's bounce total |
| Unsubscribe click | Suppressed, and their digest preferences are cleared |
| Spam complaint | Suppressed |
| Term | Means |
|---|---|
| Hard bounce | Permanent, the address does not exist and never will |
| Soft bounce | Temporary, a full mailbox, a server down. Can become a hard bounce if it keeps happening |
#Checked twice
Suppressed contacts are filtered when they are enrolled, and again immediately before each send. The second check matters, someone can unsubscribe on day two of a fourteen-day sequence, and the filter at enrolment would not have caught that.
#It applies to manual email too
The daily cap exempts emails you type yourself in the composer. Suppression does not. If someone has unsubscribed from you, a one-off personal email through EasyDigz will not reach them either. An opt-out is an opt-out.
If you genuinely need to reach that person, an existing client mid-transaction, say, contact them outside EasyDigz.
#What unsubscribing reaches
Someone who unsubscribes from your email can still hear from a different agent on EasyDigz. That is correct for a white-label product, as far as they are concerned they were on your list, not a platform's.
#What a recipient sees
- 1
They click Unsubscribe in your email footer.
- 2
A branded page opens showing your company name and their email address.
No account, no sign-in, no password.
- 3
They confirm with one more click.
- 4
They see immediate confirmation, and are removed from your future marketing.
Every marketing email gets one automatically. You never have to include one, and you should not try to build your own.
#Spotting them before you send
When choosing recipients you will see labels, Unsubscribed, Bounced, Recent bounce, Duplicate, No email, so you can see who cannot be reached before you commit. A contact that bounced in the last 30 days is skipped at enrolment.
#Cleaning up
The Email Health widget has a bad-addresses list where you can remove or suppress invalid entries. Cleaning it is also what lets you resume a campaign the system auto-paused, see Auto-pause and lockouts.
