Until your sending domain is verified, EasyDigz cannot send marketing email, no campaigns, no triggers. Verification depends on DNS changes that can take up to 48 hours. Start it on day one and let it run in the background while you do everything else.
#Why it is required at all
You are sending email that claims to come from your domain. Mail providers, Gmail, Outlook, everyone, check whether the sender is actually allowed to do that. If they cannot verify it, your email goes to spam or is rejected outright.
Adding DNS records is how you tell those providers that EasyDigz sends on your behalf. Until that is in place, EasyDigz will not send for you, not because of an arbitrary rule, but because sending unverified mail damages your reputation in a way that is slow and painful to undo.
#What is blocked until it passes
| Feature | Before verification |
|---|---|
| Drip campaigns | Cannot send |
| Trigger emails | Cannot send |
| Composer sends | Limited or paused |
| Campaign analytics | Nothing to measure |
| The Go Live launch email | The button sends you back to set the domain up |
Verification is about deliverability. The protections covered in The sending rules, caps, suppression, auto-pause, apply whether or not your domain is verified.
#What you need before you start
- A domain you own. Not a Gmail or Yahoo address, an actual domain.
- Access to its DNS settings, or someone who has it. Usually wherever you bought the domain.
- A root domain.
yourbrokerage.comworks;mail.yourbrokerage.comandwww.yourbrokerage.comare not accepted.
Subdomains are rejected. If you enter one, verification will never pass, this is a genuine restriction, not a temporary glitch.
#The order to do it in
- 1
Decide which domain you will send from.
Usually the same domain as your website.
- 2
Choose a sending mode.
See Choosing a sending mode, it decides whether you can receive replies in EasyDigz.
- 3
Add the DNS records.
See The DNS records.
- 4
Wait, and check back.
It is at Tenant Settings → Email Domain. Note that it lives under Tenant Settings, not under Emails, a common place to get stuck.
