One search bar, two modes. Location is the traditional approach: choose a place, then narrow with the Filters panel.
| EZ Search | Location | |
|---|---|---|
| You give it | A sentence | A place, then filters |
| Filters panel | Not used, the sentence carries the criteria | The main tool |
| Best for | Describing what you want | Precise, repeatable criteria |
#Switching
Switching swaps the results in place, the page is never lost, and the choice is remembered across a reload, so a visitor who prefers filters keeps them.
#When Location is better
- Exact numeric ranges the visitor wants to control precisely.
- Repeated searching with the same criteria while changing one thing.
- Anyone who prefers a form to a sentence, plenty of people do.
Both are always available
You do not choose one for your site. Every visitor picks, and their preference sticks.
