Calendar pulls the scheduled inspections, appraisals, due dates and closings attached to your Opportunities into one view, a row of category pills with live counts, plus a read-only embed of your own Google Calendar alongside it.
#The ten categories
Across the top, each pill shows a live count of upcoming events in that category. Click one to open a sidebar listing every event of that type.
| Pill | Covers |
|---|---|
| Home Inspections | Home inspection dates |
| Pest Inspections | Pest inspection dates |
| Radon Inspections | Radon inspection dates |
| Surveys | Survey dates |
| Septic Inspections | Septic inspection dates |
| Pre Inspections | Pre-inspection dates |
| Photography | MatterPort / photography appointment dates |
| Appraisals | Appraisal inspection dates |
| Due Dates | Contract or contingency due dates |
| Close Dates | Closing dates |
Dates come from the Key Dates you set on an Opportunity's linked property, set one there and it appears here automatically, no double entry. A date nobody entered on the Opportunity is a date the calendar cannot show.
#Reading an event card
Each card in the sidebar shows the event title and a Scheduled / Completed status, plus whatever is on file for it: date and time (Due Dates and Close Dates show just the date, no time), the inspector's email for the eight inspection-type categories, and the linked property, client name, phone and email when present. Only current and upcoming events are listed, anything already past drops off on its own.
#The Google Calendar panel
Alongside the pills, EasyDigz embeds your own Google Calendar, read-only. It shows whatever is on your Google account's public calendar, nothing more, and nothing less, EasyDigz does not write anything to it. If your Google Calendar is not public, the embed has nothing to show.
This is a view of your existing Google Calendar, not a two-way sync. Adding an inspection date on an Opportunity does not create a Google Calendar event, and nothing you do in Google Calendar changes what EasyDigz shows in the pills above it.
#On a phone or narrow screen
Below about 768px wide, the embedded calendar is replaced by an Open Google Calendar button, tapping it opens the same read-only view in a popup instead of inline on the page.
#Dates that also send email
Two Opportunity dates double as email reminders, independently of whether they show as their own pill here:
| Date | Trigger |
|---|---|
| Closing date (also the Close Dates pill above) | Closing Date Reminder |
| Settlement date (not one of the pills above, still tracked on the Opportunity) | Settlement Date Reminder, 14 days before by default |
#Using it well
- Enter dates on the Opportunity's Key Dates as soon as you know them, that is what makes both the calendar and the email reminders work.
- Check it at the start of the week rather than the day.
- A date that changes should be changed on the Opportunity, not worked around.
- Make your Google Calendar public if you want the embed to show anything, a private calendar renders empty.
