When a client deletes their account

Clients can close their account on your site themselves. What they see, how you are told, and what it means for your email.

Clients on your site can close their account themselves from their profile. There is nothing for you to set up.

#What your client sees

The screen tells them exactly what happens:

  • Their account on your site is closed, and they will not receive any email from it.
  • You, as the agent whose site it is, are told that they asked to delete their account.
  • They can restore it simply by signing in again.
No closure email

They receive no email about the closure. Nothing is sent to a closed account, including a confirmation.

#What you get

WhereWhat you see
In-app bell"[client name] has requested to delete their account"
EmailThe same message
Admin → AccountsThat client's row carries a Deleted badge, so you can see why they have gone quiet

#What it means for you

  • Their address is suppressed before the account closes, so nothing further is sent to it. See Bounces and unsubscribes.
  • Saved searches and saved homes are removed rather than switched off, so nothing keeps running in the background or starts sending again later.
  • Closing an account on your site closes it on your site only. The same person can still have an account with another agent on EasyDigz, they are leaving you, not the whole platform.
  • If the client signs in again, the account is restored.
If the account is later deleted

When a closed account is finally deleted, its suppression record is kept, so the address can never be emailed again by accident.
