The composer is for one-off email: an update to a client, an announcement to your whole list, anything that is not a sequence.
A beautiful new listing just came on the market at 418 Oberlin Rd, Raleigh, 4 beds, 3 baths at $425,000. Based on your saved searches, it looks like a great fit.

#Sending one
- 1
Open Emails and click New Email.
- 2
Choose your recipients.
Individuals, a contact list, a tag or All Contacts. For a list, a tag or All Contacts, the composer shows each recipient's name and email address, not just the total, so check the list before you send. See Choosing who gets it.
- 3
Write a subject.
- 4
Write the body.
Full formatting, bold, italic, colour, headings, lists, links and images.
- 5
Drop in personalisation where you want it.
Click a field on the right and it appears as a labelled pill. See Personalisation tokens.
- 6
Send now, or schedule it.
See Scheduling a send.
#Personalisation
The panel on the right lists what you can drop in, the contact’s first name, your name, your firm, your signature. They show as readable pills such as First Name, not as code, and they fill in per recipient at send time.
You write one message. Every recipient gets their own copy with their own details filled in.
#What the composer is exempt from
| Rule | Applies to a composer send? |
|---|---|
| Daily cap | No, it goes out however many drip or trigger emails the recipient already had that day |
| Account lockout | No, manual email keeps working during a lockout |
| Suppression | Yes, anyone who unsubscribed from you, or whose address hard-bounced for any agent, is skipped |
A one-off personal email will not reach someone who opted out of your marketing. If you must reach them, do it outside EasyDigz.
#Editing tips
| You do | What happens |
|---|---|
| Paste or drag an image into the email | It is handled properly. The rest of the email, your signature, footer, unsubscribe link and open tracking, arrives intact, so opens are counted correctly |
| Change an existing link | Only the web address changes; your link text is kept. "click here" is no longer inserted by mistake |
| Paste a subject line | The character count updates straight away, the same as when you type it |
| Align text | Center, Right and Justify work in the email body, the same as in the blog editor |
#Counts you can trust
Recipient counts in the Outbox and View Details match the real number sent, and a send to everyone shows as All Contacts.
#Before you send to everyone
- Send yourself a test first, test sends are exempt from every rule.
- Check how the personalisation reads for someone with an odd or missing name.
- Read the subject line once more. It decides whether the rest gets read.
