The buyer’s "Buy now" offer form

The "Buy now" form a buyer uses to make an offer on your website, its three steps, and what happens the moment they submit.

The buyer opens a property on your website and clicks Buy now. If they are not logged in, they are asked to sign in first and the offer form opens by itself. Details they have saved before, name, email, phone, address, are filled in for them.

The form has 3 steps, moved with Next and Back, finished with Submit.

Ask the buyer to type it exactly as it should appear on the property deed. There is no way to correct it once the offer is submitted.

#Step 3 — Agent & Financing

  1. 1

Do you have an agent? Yes or No.

If Yes, the buyer fills in Individual Buying Agent Name, Buying Agent License Number, Phone Number and Email.

  2. 2

How do you intend to finance? (required)

Cash, FHA, VA, USDA, Seller Financing, Private, Lease Purchase or Other.

  3. 3

Attorney for escrow, and Closing Costs (both optional).

  4. 4

Do you have to sell a property? Yes or No.

If Yes, two more questions follow: are you working with another agent, and is it currently for sale.

  5. 5

The buyer reads the Working with Real Estate Agents Disclosure (Buyers) shown on the form.

  6. 6

On most properties, they tick at least one agency option.

Buyer Agency, Dual agency, Designated Dual Agency, or Unrepresented Buyer (Seller subagent). Not shown on EZ Broker properties.

  7. 7

    The buyer clicks Submit.

Two things worth knowing about this step

Dual agency and Designated Dual Agency cannot both be ticked, and Unrepresented Buyer cannot combine with the others. The financing list here does not include "Conventional", set it yourself later in the Opportunity’s Buyer Financing field.

#After the buyer submits

  • They see "Your bid has been submitted successfully!" under the property address.
  • The Opportunity is created in the Created stage and appears on your Opportunities page.
  • You get an email about the new bid at your agent address, and an in-app notice too if you have an Opportunity Stage Change trigger set up.
  • The buyer’s details are saved to their profile for next time.
