Listing stages

The lifecycle a listing moves through, what changes stage automatically, and what expiry does.

Every listing has a stage showing where it is in its life. The stepper at the top of a listing shows the whole path with the current point marked.

#What moves automatically

TriggerEffect
The MLS changes statusThe listing follows, see Staying in sync
The expiration date passes and the status is not SoldThe stage becomes Expired automatically
You move it yourselfSome transitions prompt for related actions
Expiry is automatic and worth watching

A listing that expires moves itself. Nothing is deleted and nothing is announced to anyone, but Expired listings are exactly the ones worth a conversation with the seller.

#Stages drive your automation

A stage change is an event, so it can send email. The Listing Stage Change trigger fires on it, see The 13 preset triggers. You can also build a custom trigger with specific from and to statuses, in the trigger builder.

Deal-side screens are documented separately

This page covers the listing lifecycle. Offers, documents and the deal pipeline are covered separately, that documentation is on its way.
