A template is an email you keep. Anything you send more than twice, a listing update, a consultation invite, a closing congratulations, belongs in one.
#Creating one
- 1
Open Emails → Templates.
- 2
Create a new template, or duplicate an existing one to make a variation.
- 3
Write it, with personalisation fields wherever a detail should change per recipient.
- 4
Save. It is now available in the composer, in campaign steps and on triggers.
#System templates and your copies
Preset triggers ship with written templates. When you edit one, EasyDigz saves your version as a private copy and leaves the original intact.
The original always survives underneath as a fallback, so experimenting is safe.
#Editing a template later
Changes apply to future sends. Email already sent is unchanged, it left as it was written. A campaign that has not sent a step yet will use the updated version when it does.
#Preview
Preview mode renders the template with sample data, so you can see how it reads with the fields filled in. Worth doing every time, a personalisation field in the wrong place is obvious in preview and invisible in the editor.
#What makes a good template
- One purpose. A template trying to do two jobs does neither.
- Personalisation where it genuinely helps, a name in the greeting, not scattered through every sentence.
- A single clear call to action.
- Short. Templates get reused, and length compounds.
