Building a campaign

Adding steps, setting delays, writing content, and rewriting a whole sequence with EZ Assist in one pass.

A campaign is a list of steps. Each step is one email plus how long to wait before it.

#Building it

  1. 1

Open Drip Campaigns and create a new campaign.

  2. 2

Give it a name you will recognise in six months.

  3. 3

    Add your first step.

Step 1 always sends when a contact is enrolled.

  4. 4

Add further steps, each with a delay.

The delay is measured from the previous step.

  5. 5

Write each email, or have EZ Assist write it.

    See EZ Assist.

  6. 6

Save. It stays a draft until you add an audience and start it.

#Spacing the steps

A minimum one-day gap is enforced

Steps cannot be stacked closer than a day apart. Given the daily cap, anything tighter would silently drop emails rather than send them.

SequenceTypical spacing
New lead nurtureDay 0, 2, 5, 10, 20, close at first, then widening
Event invitationDay 0 invite, day 2 reminder, day 4 last call
Re-engagementWider throughout, these people already went quiet

#Starting from a template

Rather than starting blank, you can begin from a pre-built sequence, buyer nurtures, new-listing alerts, open-house invites, seller check-ins, re-engagement, each already written and structured, and fully editable.

#Rewriting every step at once

Bulk personalisation applies one EZ Assist action across the whole campaign, the same six quick actions, or your own instruction, with a progress bar per step.

Review before starting

A bulk rewrite is a draft across every step. Read them in order, EZ Assist rewrites each step on its own, so a sequence that told a story can end up repeating itself.

#Editing a running campaign

You can edit steps that have not sent yet. Contacts who already passed a step do not receive it again, see No duplicate sends.
